Before the brand
JP has always believed that dressing well is part of showing up.
JP grew up in Shenzhen, a fast, international city where style and commerce are part of everyday life. Her years in global consumer goods taught her how much care it takes to build a product people trust.
After earning her MBA, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. The setting changed, but her approach did not. She still chose clothes and jewelry that made her feel prepared, whether she was heading to a client meeting or simply meeting a friend for coffee.
A personal ritual
“I’m here. I’m present. This moment matters to me.”
A piece at the collarbone. A ring on the right hand. Jewelry had always been JP’s way of elevating the everyday without announcing itself.
That simple daily habit became the starting point for Kairos.
Finding the right partner
Six months of searching. One partner met the standard.
When JP decided to build her own business, she spent 6 months searching for a supplier who could meet the standards she had developed across years of working with global consumer brands.
The partner who did was based in Shenzhen. Her birthplace.
California was where she had built her career, community, and life as a first-generation immigrant. Shenzhen was where her taste had formed, and where she finally found the production partner who met her standards.
Kairos means the right moment. The name fit.One design language
Not East or West.
Fluent in both.
Kairos blends the European styling JP loves with the Chinese symbols that shaped her.
The perspective behind Kairos.
Global brand experience, careful sourcing, and cultural knowledge shape every choice.
- 01Brand discipline
Experience built across global consumer goods and trade marketing.
- 02Product judgment
A clear standard for quality, relevance, and what deserves to be worn.
- 03Supply-chain rigor
Six months of searching before choosing the right production partner.
- 04Cultural knowledge
Chinese symbols understood through lived experience, not borrowed as decoration.
Kairos is for women who enjoy dressing with intention, on important days and ordinary ones.
The tech campus.
The client meeting.
The flight. The Tuesday.
JP built Kairos for the life she knows: busy, international, practical, and never too ordinary for a beautiful detail.
